Dr. Papageorgiou Stavros

Dr. Papageorgiou Stavros was born in 1951 in Palaiochori Syrrako, Ioannina. He graduated from the Gymnasium of Agios Dimitrios in Athens and enrolled in 1969 at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, receiving his medical degree in 1975.

His specialisation in Radiology took place between 1979–1982 at the Red Cross Hospital and the General State Hospital of Piraeus.

From 1982 to 1986, he served as a Registrar at the University Radiology Laboratory of the General Hospital of Ioannina "G. Hatzikosta", where he also undertook all obstetric ultrasound examinations for the University Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic, which at that time did not yet have its own ultrasound machine.

In 1986 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine by the University of Ioannina with the grade "Excellent".

Since 1985 he has directed a Private Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging Laboratory in Ioannina, with exclusive clinical activity in diagnostic ultrasound. The laboratory was the first and for many years the only private ultrasound laboratory in north-western Greece.
