Dr. Papageorgiou Stavros graduated from the Gymnasium of Agios Dimitrios in Athens and enrolled at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he received his medical degree.
Specialisation
Radiology & Ultrasound
He specialised in Radiology at the Red Cross Hospital and the General State Hospital of Piraeus.
From 1982 to 1986, he served as a Registrar at the University Radiology Laboratory of the General Hospital of Ioannina "G. Hatzikosta", where he also undertook all obstetric ultrasound examinations for the University Obstetrics and Gynaecology Clinic, which at that time did not yet have its own ultrasound machine.

In 1986 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine by the University of Ioannina with the grade "Excellent".
Clinical Activity
Private Ultrasound Practice
Since 1985 he has directed a Private Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging Laboratory in Ioannina, with exclusive clinical activity in diagnostic ultrasound. The laboratory was the first and for many years the only private ultrasound laboratory in north-western Greece.
