History & Mission

Pioneers in ultrasound imaging

The Practice is the first private ultrasound diagnostic centre in North-Western Greece. For over 30 years it has provided services to the highest scientific standards, with modern equipment and continuous updating on the latest developments in diagnostic radiology.

Operations began almost simultaneously with the introduction of ultrasound in the diagnosis of human disease. The rapid evolution of technology has led to a dramatic increase in the resolution of machines — today the majority of body organs can be examined by ultrasound.

We offer imaging in 2D, 3D and 4D, Doppler vascular flow studies, and elastography for tissue stiffness assessment — combining all modern techniques.

Advanced Ultrasound System

We use the GE Logiq E9 by General Electric — a state-of-the-art system with a full set of specialised probes, selected according to each type of examination.

GE Logiq E9

High-Resolution Ultrasound System

The GE LOGIQ E9 is built on an agile acoustic architecture that uses real-time calculations and dynamic models of anatomy and physics — adapting as you scan, regardless of body type. Unlike conventional beamformers, it delivers unparalleled image uniformity from near to far field, with exceptional penetration even for larger patients, ensuring consistent diagnostic accuracy across every examination.

Advanced imaging technologies — SRI-HD (High-definition Speckle Reduction), CrossXBeam spatial compounding and Coded Harmonic Imaging — elevate contrast resolution, tissue differentiation and near/far-field clarity. E-Series transducers incorporate Acoustic Amplifier Technology (recycling acoustic energy for higher sensitivity), Single Crystal Technology (improved axial resolution) and Matrix Array Technology (uniform resolution throughout the field of view).

Volume Navigation tools allow real-time fusion of ultrasound with previously acquired CT or MR images, enabling direct lesion comparison and biopsy guidance. The GPS marker system facilitates confident anatomical localisation and lesion counting. Probes are selected per examination type, ensuring maximum diagnostic precision in every case.
